From the belly of the earth, Gaia (Mother Earth) encourages us to make space and breathe.
Stretch, awaken, and wipe the cobwebs of doubt away.
Now pause to look inward –
Deep within each of us the inner voice wishes to speak, give her time, allow her space.
The advent of Imbolc, the midway point between the winter solstice and spring equinox,
brings with it the fresh air of a new day with increased light to illuminate both inwards and outwards.
Now is the time to question. Question what you do and why. Do your current thoughts still serve you? Or is your inner voice and emerging Yin femininity urging you to speak up and out.
Be creative, think more consciously and be brave in your endeavours, for it is with this faith and courage that a more conscious society can emerge. One where we each forgive and understand.
Though in forgiveness it does not mean that we give away our power, our sovereignty, or our voice.
This precious time we have been afforded to stop and breathe is one that encourages us to give more thought to our way of being and doing, not solely as individuals but as a greater One universe.
As we eagerly imbue our lives and space with creative thought, we make space for others to do the same.
Just as the animals tentatively step out of hibernation, stretching and awakening to the light of the new dawn, so we must step into a new way of being and doing so that we can welcome the new dawn of greater consciousness and live in harmony with our body and our community.
One where a renewed sense of belief and hope are cultivated, and the Feminine Yin energy is given space to allow their seeds of creativity and enlightenment to join forces with the energy of spring so that they can emerge and grow. As the seed grows it cultivates it strength from within as it pushes up through the earth to finally show its form and beauty. So too are we offered the opportunity to do the same in the coming weeks and months. With the turning of the seasons so too comes the evolution of our combined voices to breathe fresh perspective and beauty so that those dreams we all wish to bring to form can finally emerge and grow.

So what is Imbolc?
Imbloc the second of the 4 traditional Celtic festivals, the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. For Christians It is also called St Brigid’s day
A time synonymous with the start of spring. a time of creation and fertility, when animals begin to give birth to their young and we start to step out of the darker days into the ever-growing light.
During this time, we light fires and create crosses from reeds or rushes and give thanks for the longer days of light and make plans for the start of Spring.
Believed to be linked closely to Brigid given her role as patron saint of babies and goddess of fertility.
